I just received and opened this today and I'm most pleased with my purchase. This is my first time buying this supplement in bulk, but have used capsules in the past. I approve the new formula! I am happy to see that they are no longer using maltodextrin in this, and they added silica. I avoid maltrodextrin for blood sugar reasons, and I try to increase silica intake for my health. I doubt this silica is absorbed, but I'm 100% ok with silica in the formula, and hope that it will stabilize the product well too. I read that the previous formula turns to gel with exposure. I hope this new formula helps with that, AND I will take measures to protect my purchase, I will repackage this, and reduce exposure to moisture and air to the extent possible. First impressions: I liked the taste of this product. It seems flavorless/possibly very slightly sweet (?). I only tasted this plain the one time so I may update my opinion as time goes on. I mixed a bit into my vanilla whey protein drink and did not notice any flavor or texture changes. I am most pleased with this. I think it will be easy to incorporate into my routine, and the price was great. Side note: I understand why people keep complaining about the packaging but I wish they'd think it through. I prioritize quality and value over packaging. It's easy to repackage things into whatever container you like :) I suggest using a powder funnel and a jar. If you need scoops, you can decide what size you want and buy the scoop or set of scoops online. If you want a closable sealable pouch, try folding the pouch closed a couple times and clip it with a binder clip or two. I like the great prices and quality here! I'm sure that the packaging decisions here contribute to the low prices, and they are better for the environment compared with other options. Thank you Bulk Supplements!!
Australiawhy change the product?
Been using this product for atleast five years without problem. This last batch smells different and contains silicon dioxide. Being in Australia I probably won't get a refund on an open product.
